Act One Script Consulting goes far beyond ordinary "coverage." With a written consultation, you'll receive a 4 to 6 page in-depth analysis of your script, plus page and scene notes written in the margins. Phone consultations include all that plus a phone session with the analyst.

Our script consultants include story analysts working at studios and production companies throughout Hollywood and skilled film and television writers, all of them professionally trained and qualified to provide an honest assessment of your writing and practical guidance to help you write your best script.

We'll help you understand how your writing stacks up next to the Hollywood pros. Then we'll go deeper. Our consultations place unique emphasis on nurturing each writer with objective, informed and compassionate feedback and advice. We focus on helping writers find their unique voices so they can say what they want to say. We'll provide feedback on the ethical and spiritual dimensions of your script. And in everything we do, we work to respect and enrich the audience.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Every Act One Script Consultation includes a thorough evaluation of:

- story structure
- character development
- dialogue
- film grammar
- commerciality
- reflection of a meaningful world view
- industry standard formatting

A written consultation includes:
- A 4-6 page in-depth analysis discussing the aspects listed above, plus suggestions on how you can strengthen your next draft.
- Valuable page and scene notes from the story analyst written in the margins of your script

A phone consultation includes:
- All the elements of a written consultation, PLUS
- A live telephone conversation (up to 2 hrs) with your script consultant that will include explanations of notes, suggestions for improvement, brainstorming for solutions, and answers to any lingering questions.

OUR RATES

Screenplay
- written consultation: $185
- phone consultation:  $295

(Please note that we will charge $1 for each page over 130 pages.)

Screenplay treatment
- written consultation: $95
- phone consultation: $145

TV scripts
- Sitcom consultation: $95
- Drama consultation: $125

Turnaround time is usually 3-4 weeks. Rush service (under 2 weeks) is available for an extra charge of $25.
