WRITING MENTORSHIPS

Mentorships are a crucial part of both Writing Programs.

SUMMER PROGRAM
Once the four weeks have concluded, students are given the opportunity to apply for a mentorship with an industry professional. Students submit a project proposal and, if accepted, meet with their mentors (or talk by phone) once a month for five months, with the goal of developing a mainstream feature script or TV spec script.

Our volunteer corps of mentors is made up of writers and other professionals with a solid knowledge of the craft and the business of screenwriting. Many of them are Act One instructors and alumni.

If you are interested in becoming an Act One writing mentor, email Jack Gilbert here.
