Jacob Roman is one half of the Ryan/Roman partnership. He and Kenny Ryan met in screenwriting class during film school, immediately bonded over their shared sensibility for high-concept stories and classic mythology, and decided to team up. A few years later, they sold their first feature — a 300-esque retelling of the Old Testament story of David and Goliath — to Sony as a pitch.

Since then they’ve scripted films for Dreamworks, Universal, and Blumhouse, as well as several independent producers and financiers. Branching into TV/streaming, they recently served as head writers on the first season of THE WINGFEATHER SAGA for Angel Studios, after spending three seasons as Executive Story Editors on SEAL TEAM at CBS (where they wrote and produced six episodes while dodging explosions and gunfire on set with David Boreanaz and actual Navy SEALs).

On the feature side, they recently wrapped shooting on their post-apocalyptic thriller ELEVATION, starring Anthony Mackie and directed by George Nolfi, which they also Co-Produced. Their action thriller SLEEPING BEAUTY, set up at Scott Free, is currently packaging.
